Located in one of Newport Beach’s most charming seaside neighborhoods, Balboa Island, Collins is the perfect getaway. This California-rustic beach house is the perfect platform for sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, swimming, and biking. Smooth transitions between its indoor and outdoor spaces make all of these activities easier and more enjoyable. For this home, we partnered with Bill Guidero because of our shared vision – to build exceptional homes that enhance the lives of people by creating inspiring living environments. In fact, as construction made headway, it inspired Jon so much he couldn’t let this one go, and lived here many years with his wife and children. Collins is an inviting space that mixes architectural genres. The pure-white siding exterior is a perfect display of California coastal style, complimented by a pop of white-wash bricks giving it an old-world touch. Terraces that make the interior breathe, and feel wonderful on a warm summer day, help the homeowners feel closer to the beach. The ideal blend of natural earthy influences and elegant details elevate the art of living while the relaxing sounds of the island adds to the home’s calming presence. Collins is truly as magical as the island itself.
